Casey-Westfield entered their tilt with Newton on Tuesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Newton Eagles 65-37. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 58-53 back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Casey-Westfield to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hayden Parcel, who shot 47% from the field to rack up 17 points. Another player making a difference was Nolan Clement, who posted eight points in addition to six assists and five boards.

Casey-Westfield was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Newton only six assists.

When it comes to explaining why Newton lost, don't look at Kody Bergbower. Despite the final result, he went 7-for-11 on his way to 23 points. What's more, Bergbower posted two assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Lance Volk was another key player, putting up eight points.

Casey-Westfield's record is now 19-7. As for Newton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-18.

Casey-Westfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 93-33 win against Chrisman on the 24th. As for Newton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 45-36 victory against Flora on the 21st.
