After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Upper Arlington, Whitehall-Yearling was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Tree of Life Christian Trojans 14-3. The high-scoring effort was just what the Rams needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.
Aubree Waites was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched five innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits. Waites was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, Kylie Whistle was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Whistle is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Taylor Stace was another key player, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.
Whitehall-Yearling now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Tree of Life Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
