Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Haynes Academy). They were the clear victors by an 18-1 margin over Jefferson RISE Charter on Thursday. The result was nothing new for Haynes Academy, who have now won three matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Haynes Academy pushed their record up to 5-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Jefferson RISE Charter, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Looking ahead, Haynes Academy will head out to challenge Belle Chasse at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Jefferson RISE Charter, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Varnado at 4:30 p.m.
