Softball Recap: Red Bank Regional Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

While Red Bank Regional didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past the Neptune Scarlet Fliers 17-9 on Monday. Considering the Bucs have won five matchups by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was Red Bank Regional's fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.5 runs over those games. As for Neptune, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8-1 record this season.

Red Bank Regional will have a chance to go back-to-back against Neptune: the pair will be back at it again later today.
