Basketball Game Preview: Fond du Lac Ojibwe O Ogichida vs. Cook County Vikings

Fond du Lac Ojibwe O is on a six-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, Cook County a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Tuesday. The Fond du Lac Ojibwe O Ogichida will host the Cook County Vikings at 6:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Fond du Lac Ojibwe O lost 79-58 to Hill City on Thursday.

Fond du Lac Ojibwe O better focus on containing Denali Blackwell and Macoy Fairbanks as the pair were huge in Cook County's win. Blackwell went 8 for 13 from beyond the arc on his way to 26 points in addition to seven boards and four steals, while Fairbanks went 9 of 14 en route to 23 points and five rebounds. Blackwell's evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Nicholas Spry, who went 5 of 9 en route to 12 points.

Cook County was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now racked up at least 23 assists in three consecutive matchups.

Fond du Lac Ojibwe O's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-9. As for Cook County, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.
