Basketball Recap: High Island Comes Up Short

High Island was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They took a hard 32-15 fall against the Burkeville Mustangs. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 28-26 on January 3rd.

High Island's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Burkeville, their victory bumped their record up to 6-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. High Island will face off against Chester at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Burkeville, they will square off against Goodrich at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
