Baseball Recap: South Comes Up Short

South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Briggs Bruins, falling 19-6. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their loss to the Bruins from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

South's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Briggs, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-7.

Looking ahead, South will challenge West at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Cowboys will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Briggs, they will take on Eastmoor Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
