Soccer Recap: Smithville Takes a Loss

Smithville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 8-1 to Manor New Tech. The matchup was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly the Tigers struggled afterwards.

Smithville's record is now 1-16. As for Manor New Tech, their victory bumped their record up to 7-12.

Smithville will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on La Grange at 7:15 p.m. on March 17th. As for Manor New Tech, they will head out on the road to face off against Salado at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Salado's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last 12 contests.
