Lawson waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 46-37 victory over the Richmond Spartans. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 174th, while the Spartans are ranked 471st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lawson has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.5 points per game. As for Richmond, they dropped their record down to 4-12 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Lawson Cardinals take on the Oak Grove Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Richmond, they will welcome Lafayette County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
