It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Tulpehocken ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-8 victory over the Berks Catholic Saints. Ten seems to be a good number for the Trojans as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Jared Baer was incredible, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Tulpehocken has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Berks Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.

Coming up, Tulpehocken will be playing in front of their home fans against Kutztown at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Berks Catholic, they will venture away from home to challenge Hamburg at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hawks will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Saints surely won't give up without a fight.
