Geneva has gone a perfect 5-0 against Waubonsie Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Vikings will look to defend their home court against the Warriors at 5:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Tuesday, Geneva came up short against St. Charles East and fell 2-0. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Geneva was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made St. Charles East work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Waubonsie Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of St. Charles North.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Waubonsie Valley sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 24-26, 25-17.

Waubonsie Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 13-17. As for Geneva, their loss dropped their record down to 16-14.

Geneva was able to grind out a solid win over Waubonsie Valley when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 2-0. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
