Football Game Preview: Bonnabel Bruins vs. East Jefferson Warriors + Official Tickets

For the first time this season, Bonnabel will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will welcome the East Jefferson Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bonnabel will be strutting in after a win while East Jefferson will be coming in after a loss.

Bonnabel is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their game on Thursday with ease, bagging a 42-7 victory over Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Bruins considering their six-point performance the matchup before.

Meanwhile, East Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against McDonogh 35, falling 53-14. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-14.

Although East Jefferson took the loss, they still got scores from Harry Haynes and Treylon Williams.

Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed eight in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Williams, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

With the win, Bonnabel broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3. As for East Jefferson, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Bonnabel ended up a good deal behind East Jefferson in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, losing 28-10. Thankfully for the Bruins, Paul Jones (who rushed for 92 yards and three touchdowns) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
