Recap: Carlisle Indians vs. Overton Mustangs
Even though the Carlisle Indians have not done well against the Overton Mustangs recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Carlisle walked away with a 36-28 victory over Overton. The win made it back-to-back wins for Carlisle.
Defeat or not, Overton got some senior leadership from Kayla Nobles and Catherine Delane. Nobles scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and two steals, while Delane. scored five points along with eight rebounds. Nobles is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last 16 games she's played.
Carlisle's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Overton, they now have a losing record at 10-11.
Carlisle will be playing in front of their home fans against Douglass at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Douglass' favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests. As for Overton, they will head out on the road to face off against New Summerfield at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. New Summerfield is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
