Football Recap: Hardee Comes Up Short

After flying high against Wildwood last Friday, Hardee came back down to earth. The Wildcats took a blow against the LaBelle Cowboys/Cowgirls on Friday, falling 27-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Wildcats haven't been shut out since back in August.

Marquay Bradshaw continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for LaBelle, rushing for 145 yards and a pair of TDs on only 14 carries. Bradshaw is also crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least two every time he's taken the field this season.

Hardee's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for LaBelle, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Looking ahead, Hardee will challenge North Port at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats are facing the Bobcats at the right time seeing as the Bobcats are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for LaBelle, they will face off against Marathon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cowboys/Cowgirls will be up against the Dolphins' rather soft defense (which has allowed 41.25 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
