Everything went their way against the Tranquillity Tigers on Monday as they made off with a 17-0 win. Considering the Rough Riders have won five contests by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
The team relied heavily on Arianna Macias, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.
Roosevelt always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .889. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Roosevelt's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-8. As for Tranquillity, their loss was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-10.
Coincidentally, Roosevelt and Tranquillity will both be playing Rio Linda the next time they take the field. The Tigers will host the Knights at 2:15 p.m. on Monday, while the Rough Riders will play them later in the day, at 4:30 p.m.
