Volleyball Game Preview: Davis Sr. Blue Devils vs. Oak Ridge Trojans

Davis Sr. hasn't had much luck against Oak Ridge recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Blue Devils will welcome the Trojans at 6:30 p.m.

Davis Sr. is headed into Wednesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Monday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Del Oro.

The 3-1 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-22, 22-25, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Oak Ridge entered their tilt with Rocklin on Monday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Thunder.

Oak Ridge took Rocklin into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-22, 25-10, 20-25, 15-12.

Oak Ridge's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 25-1. As for Davis Sr., their defeat dropped their record down to 6-14.
