Football Recap: Jackson-Olin Comes Up Short

After soaring to 46 points the game before, Jackson-Olin was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They were outmatched by the Homewood Patriots and fell 49-0. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Adonis Miller threw for 72 yards on seven of 14 attempts. Jordyn Morris was his top target, picking up 30 receiving yards. On the ground, Derrion Lewis rushed for 80 yards on only nine carries.

Homewood's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jackson Chapleau, who rushed for 29 yards and two scores. Reid Goldstein also helped with two touchdowns in total.

Jackson-Olin's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Homewood, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Jackson-Olin wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 30-20 loss against Carver Birmingham on the 25th. As for Homewood, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 25-24 defeat against Mountain Brook on the 26th.
