Franklin-Simpson piles up the points against Trion

The Franklin-Simpson Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 26 points or more this season. They breezed by Trion on the road to the tune of 67-20. The win was just business as usual for Franklin-Simpson, who after seven games remain undefeated this season.

Leading Franklin-Simpson to victory were Kloie Smith and LaReesha Cawthorn. Smith scored 17 points along with five rebounds, while Cawthorn dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. The match was Cawthorn's seventh in a row with at least ten points. McKenzie Taylor was another key contributor, scoring eight points.

Franklin-Simpson's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Trion, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-4.

Franklin-Simpson is on the road again on Thursday and play against Chattanooga Christian at 1:00 p.m. on December 21st. Chattanooga Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight matchups -- so hopefully Franklin-Simpson likes a good challenge. Trion won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Ohio County at 1:00 p.m. on December 21st. Ohio County is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
