Recap: Galena Grizzlies vs. Reed Raiders
Even though the Galena Grizzlies have not done well against the Reed Raiders recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Galena took down Reed 56-38. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Galena.
Ramona Peterson was the offensive standout of the match as she scored 24 points. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Mia Turner, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Galena's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-13. As for Reed, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.
Galena will be playing in front of their home fans against Damonte Ranch at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Reed will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Spanish Springs at 5:15 p.m. on January 12th. Hopefully Spanish Springs focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday.
