Basketball Game Preview: McClintock Chargers vs. Central Bobcats

McClintock is 6-0 against Central since February of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The McClintock Chargers will square off against the Central Bobcats at 5:00 p.m. Central took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on McClintock, who comes in off a win.

McClintock is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Fairfax: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that McClintock blew Fairfax out of the water with a 62-28 final score. The Chargers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 22 points or more this season.

McClintock got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lamaiya Woodberry out in front who posted 15 points. Woodberry has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kamari Roddy, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards.

Meanwhile, Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 58-50 to Carl Hayden Community.

McClintock's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-7. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 41.3 points. As for Central, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.

Everything came up roses for McClintock against Central when the teams last played back in January, as the team secured a 99-9 victory. In that match, McClintock amassed a halftime lead of 58-8, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
