Basketball Game Preview: Hoquiam Grizzlies vs. Elma Eagles

Hoquiam and Elma are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. Having just played yesterday, the Hoquiam Grizzlies will head out on the road to face off against the Elma Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hoquiam will be strutting in after a victory while Elma will be coming in after a loss.

Hoquiam will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Aberdeen, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Hoquiam snuck past Aberdeen with a 47-42 win on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Grizzlies.

Meanwhile, Elma came up short against Centralia on Friday, falling 46-26.

Hoquiam's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Elma, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-9.

Hoquiam ended up a good deal behind Elma in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, losing 45-28. Can Hoquiam avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
