Torrance won the last time they faced Redondo Union and things went their way on Friday too. The Torrance Tartars narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Redondo Union Sea Hawks 3-2.

Torrance saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noriyoshi Mori, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits Mori has posted since back in April of 2024.

Torrance now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Redondo Union, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

Torrance will face off against Canyon at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Canyon's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Torrance's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Redondo Union, they will square off against Palos Verdes at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
