Volleyball Game Preview: Colusa RedHawks vs. University Prep Panthers

Colusa is 1-7 against University Prep since November of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 11:00 a.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Saturday.

Colusa is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Pierce. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the RedHawks have posted against the Bears since October 18, 2022.

Colusa walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-14, 25-20.

Meanwhile, University Prep came tearing into Thursday's contest with six straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Lynx as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

University Prep was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-21, 25-16.

Colusa's win bumped their record up to 24-12. As for University Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 28-8.

Colusa came up short against University Prep in their previous matchup back in September, falling 3-1. Can the RedHawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
