King (Riverside, Calif.) took an early lead against
Patriot (Riverside, Calif.) and held on for a 38-26 victory on Saturday.
In the first quarter, the Wolves put up 10 points. King scored on a
DeWitt Caswell touchdown run and a field goal.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Caswell in the first quarter, KHS led 17-7 at the half.
Both teams scored seven points in the third quarter, so the margin remained at 10 at the start of the fourth.
The win brought King's winning streak to three games.
King (3-0) will play a non-conference game against Citrus Hill next week, while Patriot (1-2) will take on San Bernardino also in a non-conference game.
