Battle Ground Academy and Franklin Road Academy are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2018, but not for long. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Battle Ground Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup last Friday. They claimed a resounding 49-3 win over Boyd-Buchanan. The victory was nothing new for the Wildcats as they're now sitting on eight straight.

A big part of Battle Ground Academy's win came down to the chemistry between Kaedyn Marable and his top target Max Curry. Marable threw for 324 yards and four TDs while completing 78.9% of his passes while Curry picked up 166 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Those three receiving touchdowns gave Curry a new career-high.

Battle Ground Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Christian Walker and Evan Kellum. Kellum got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The match pitted two dominant signal callers against one another in Jack Nimitz and Tj Jenkins. Nimitz had a great game and threw for 298 yards and four touchdowns while completing 89.3% of his passes. Meanwhile, Jenkins did his best for the losing side, throwing for 193 yards and three TDs.

Franklin Road Academy's win bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Battle Ground Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 12-1.

Thursday's matchup will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Marable and Nimitz. Marable just won't slow down this season and has thrown 52 touchdowns (and and only 4 pick) while averaging 264.1 passing yards per game. Nimitz has been a dominant force too and has thrown 15 touchdowns (and and only 1 picks) while averaging 243 passing yards per game.
