Basketball Game Preview: Johnson County Sports Association Lions vs. Grace Classical Christian Academy Gryphons

Having just played yesterday, the Johnson County Sports Association Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Grace Classical Christian Academy Gryphons at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Johnson County Sports Association is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering UME Preparatory Academy just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against the EAGLES, falling 39-14. The Lions were down 31-10 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Lilliana Bertram, who posted two points and eight rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last four games she's played. Anna Shepard was another key player, putting up three points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals.

Grace Classical Christian Academy kicked off their season on the road last Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. The game between the Gryphons and Johnson County Sports Association didn't end well, with the Gryphons falling 28-14.

Johnson County Sports Association's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Grace Classical Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Johnson County Sports Association strolled past Grace Classical Christian Academy in their previous matchup last Thursday by a score of 28-14. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
