After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Terry Sanford, Overhills was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 80-38 win over the Arts Jaguars. Overhills has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 22 points or more this season.

Overhills' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Najiha Allen led the charge by going 12 for 13 from beyond the arc en route to 42 points along with seven boards and five steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Allen has scored at least a third of Overhills' points. Another player making a difference was Paris Autry, who made all 11 shots she took for 27 points in addition to five assists and three steals.

Overhills was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Overhills is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 11-6 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 37.6 points. As for Arts, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.

Overhills and Arts should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in their respective state rankings. Overhills (ranked 141st) will meet Hoke County (ranked 442nd) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Arts will challenge Belleville at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 112 places (100 vs. 212).
