Baseball Recap: Morgan Township Takes a Loss

Morgan Township was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 13-2 to the Culver Academies Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Cherokees have suffered since May 11, 2024.

Morgan Township saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bradley Farris, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was Farris' first of the season. Clint Lemmons was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Morgan Township's record is now 1-5-1. As for Culver Academies, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Morgan Township will square off against South Central at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Culver Academies, they will venture away from home to face off against Westville at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blackhawks have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season.
