Baseball Recap: McLoud Takes a Loss

McLoud was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 14-2 to the Ada Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 last Monday.

McLoud saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kendall Leonard, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

McLoud's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Ada, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

Coming up, McLoud will be taking part in a tournament against Luther at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. McLoud's pitchers better be ready for this one: Luther has averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Ada, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Harrah at 5:00 p.m. on April 14.
