New Life Christian Academy won the last time they faced Riverside Christian Academy, and LaShaude McElvine did his part to make sure it happened again. The New Life Christian Academy Monarchs managed a 57-52 win over the Riverside Christian Academy Royals on Tuesday thanks in part to McElvine, who went 9 of 14 on his way to 20 points and four steals. That's the most points he has posted since back in November of 2024.

The team also got some help courtesy of Mikhi Nobles, who posted five points and six rebounds. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played.

New Life Christian Academy moved to 8-13 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Riverside Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Howard the next time they take the court. New Life Christian Academy will head out to face Howard at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, while Riverside Christian Academy will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th.
