Yuma Catholic skates past Arcadia with ease

Recap: Yuma Catholic Shamrocks vs. Arcadia Titans

The Yuma Catholic Shamrocks extended their postseason success on Friday against the Arcadia Titans. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Titans 42-7 on the road. The victory was just business as usual for Yuma Catholic, who after 13 games remain undefeated this season.

Yuma Catholic was led to victory by Nash Ott and Tayt Ford. Ott threw for 246 yards and three touchdowns while completing 91.7% of his passes, while Ford rushed for 116 yards and two touchdowns. Ford hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was Hunter Hancock, who gained 57 total yards and two touchdowns.

The team's defense also helped out by holding Arcadia to a paltry 242 yards. A big part of that defensive dominance came down to Yuma Catholic's ability to keep the quarterback under pressure: the team laid the passer out three times before it was all said and done. Leading the way was Trenton Blomquist and his two sacks.

Yuma Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 13-0. As for Arcadia, their loss dropped their record down to 12-1.

Yuma Catholic will look to defend their home field on Friday against Canyon del Oro at 4:00 p.m. Canyon del Oro will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line. Arcadia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
