Softball Recap: East Burke Cavaliers vs. Patton Panthers

East Burke had lost nine straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 4-18 to make it ten. They lost 7-1 to the Patton Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-6 back in March.

East Burke saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyndal Morrison, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

As for Patton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-13. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games.

On Patton's side, they got a big performance out of Jolann Buff, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs. That's the most hits Buff has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Ady Moorefield, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

East Burke didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 16-0 defeat against Freedom on the 25th. As for Patton, they have also already played their next match, a 6-2 win against Draughn on the 25th.
