Baseball Recap: Laurel Spartans vs. Mercer Mustangs
Laurel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Mercer Mustangs, falling 10-4.
Kolton Carlson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of JJ McBride, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.
Laurel's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Mercer, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.
