Basketball Recap: Middle College's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Middle College entered their tilt with Neosho on Friday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They walked away with a 67-58 victory over the Neosho Wildcats. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 66-49 win the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2017.

When it comes to explaining why Neosho lost, don't look at Oliver Martin. Despite the final result, he went 7 for 11 on his way to 19 points and eight assists. Those eight assists gave Martin a new career-high. Quincy Simpson was another key player, putting up seven points.

Middle College's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Neosho, they moved to 4-6 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Middle College will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Fayette Ware at 7:30 p.m. on January 7th. As for Neosho, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 78-59 loss against Crooked Oak on the 28th.
