Ocean Springs posted their closest win since September 13, 2024 on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Madison-Ridgeland Academy Patriots 2-1. The win continues a trend for the Greyhounds in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won five in a row.

Anna Hoffmayer paced Ocean Springs' offense, picking up eight kills. Hoffmayer got some help from Lucy Pepper and her 14 assists. Hoffmayer and Pepper didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with two apiece.

Ocean Springs' victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Madison-Ridgeland Academy, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.
