Parma hasn't had much luck against Homedale recently, but that could start to change on Friday. Parma is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Idaho's top teams: Nampa Christian, who was ranked 21st at the time (Parma was ranked 20th). The Panthers narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Trojans 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted since March 19th.

Wesli Crockett made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. Crockett was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in March.
In other batting news, Zoey Heffelfinger was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.
Meanwhile, Homedale came up short against Weiser on Wednesday, falling 13-1. The game marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.
Hadlee Brown was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double. That triple marked the first that she hit this season.
Parma pushed their record up to 14-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Homedale, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.
Homedale's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Parma hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .390. It's a different story for Homedale, though, as they've only averaged .256. Will they be able to contain Parma's hitters?
Parma might still be hurting after the 24-1 defeat they got from Homedale in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
