Volleyball Recap: Sitka Comes Up Short on the Road Against North Pole

Sitka had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the North Pole Patriots by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. While the Wolves didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Patriots 25-14 in the first set.

Sitka actually scored more points across those five sets (103-87), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 14-25, 25-20, 25-20, 8-25, 15-13.

North Pole has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

While Sitka had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
