Baseball Game Preview: Davis Pirates vs. Sunnyside Grizzlies

For the second straight game, Davis will face off against Sunnyside. The Pirates will face off against the Grizzlies at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Davis is looking for their season's first win.

Last Tuesday, Davis came up short against Sunnyside and fell 10-6.

For Sunnyside's part, Jorge Moreno looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The Grizzlies are 2-1 when Moreno allows one or fewer earned runs, but 0-9 otherwise.

At the plate, Trey Castro was excellent, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Prince Garza, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Davis' defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Sunnyside, with the victory, they broke their ten-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-10.
