Volleyball Game Preview: Hampton Christian Academy Warriors vs. StoneBridge Cavaliers

Hampton Christian Academy hasn't had much luck against StoneBridge recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Cavaliers at 6:30 p.m.

Hampton Christian Academy lost 3-0 to Broadwater Academy on Tuesday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-11, 25-15.

Meanwhile, StoneBridge strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Everything went their way against Denbigh Baptist Christian as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

While StoneBridge won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-23, 25-10.

Hampton Christian Academy better focus on containing Libbie Plumlee and Selah Telfer as the pair were huge in StoneBridge's win. Plumlee had ten digs and six aces, while Telfer had 34 assists and nine digs. Telfer has been hot for a while, having posted 14 or more assists the last 21 times she's played.

StoneBridge was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in five consecutive matches.

Hampton Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for StoneBridge, their record now sits at 26-0.

Hampton Christian Academy might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from StoneBridge in their previous meeting back in September. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
