Softball Recap: Four Straight Home Victories for Greendale

Greendale's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Brown Deer Falcons a 15-0 shutout. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Aubrey Cook made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.

In other batting news, Greendale got a massive performance out of Giselle Paszkiewicz, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Macey St. Lawrence, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Greendale pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Greendale will take on Mukwonago in a tournament on Friday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 11.2 runs per game this season. As for Brown Deer, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Dominican at 8:30 p.m. on May 9.
