Basketball Recap: Crane Medical Makes It Ten in a Row at Home

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Crane Medical walked away with it. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus Ravens 68-21. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 22 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Crane Medical to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tiana Simmons, who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine boards. Those 17 points gave Simmons a new career-high. Sariah Allen was another key player, going 6-for-8 en route to 15 points and three steals.

Crane Medical's win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 18.3 points over those games. As for Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-10.

Looking ahead, Crane Medical will take on Clark at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Crane Medical's defense has only allowed 29.6 points per game this season, so Clark's offense will have their work cut out for them. Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
