Football Preview: Circle Thunderbirds vs. Buhler Crusaders

Circle hasn't had much luck against Buhler recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Circle Thunderbirds will venture away from home to square off against the Buhler Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Circle came up short against Mulvane and fell 29-19. The Thunderbirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite their defeat, Circle saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Westin Rose, who rushed for 115 yards and a touchdown, was perhaps the best of all. Rose was even better on defense, picking up two sacks and making 11 total tackles. Circle also got help from Paxton Hall, who showed off his sure hands for 119 receiving yards.

Circle wouldn't let Mulvane keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Jason Smith was the leader in that area as all came courtesy of his dominant performance.

Meanwhile, Buhler ended up a good deal behind Great Bend on Friday and lost 43-26. The loss was the Crusaders' first of the season.

Circle now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Buhler, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
