Franklin Gets a Boost from Powers in 21-14 Defeat

Starting off the list is Franklin's Ernie Powers, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Powers rushed for 246 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 62 yards.

Franklin's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-4. Powers and Franklin will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pebble Hills at 7:30 p.m. on November 7th.

Zereian Quarles's rushing tear continued on Thursday as he dropped his seventh-straight game with 127+ rushing yards. He rushed for 154 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.1 yards per carry.

If the past is any indication, Quarles could be in store for another big game when he takes on Eastlake on Thursday. Quarles picked up 75 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 59 yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Falcons duked it out back in October of 2023.
