Basketball Recap: Fairfax Find Success

Fairfax picked up another tournament win on Sunday. They slipped by the Christian Academy Saints 46-45. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

It was another big night for Cam Yingling, who went 11 for 20 on his way to 25 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. The game was his ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Mullen, who posted six points and six rebounds.

Fairfax was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matchups.

Fairfax's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 7-3.

Fairfax will head out to square off against West Springfield at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Christian Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-51 defeat against Brookland-Cayce on the 2nd.
