Basketball Recap: Perkins Sets Scoring Season-High Against Clyde

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Perkins). They were the clear victor by a 94-69 margin over the Clyde Fliers on Friday. The Pirates have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 25 points or more this season.

Several Fliers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brayden Olson, who went 6-for-14 en route to 15 points. Olson's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Oscar Webb, who posted 11 points.

The victory was the third in a row for Perkins, bringing their record for this year to 13-7. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 84.3 points over those games. As for Clyde, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.

Perkins has already played their next game (against Huron), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Clyde, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 81-63 win against Vermilion on the 12th.
