Basketball Recap: Georgetown Takes a Loss

Georgetown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They were dealt a 59-27 loss at the hands of the Waccamaw Warriors. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-6.

Kendall Mason had a dynamite game for Waccamaw, going 11 of 26 en route to 25 points and five steals. Those 25 points gave Mason a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Olivia Hodo, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.

Georgetown's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Waccamaw, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-11.

Georgetown will head out on the road to square off against Marlboro County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Waccamaw, they will head out to face off against Loris at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
