Volleyball Recap: Layla Thimm's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Hustisford over Green Lake/Princeton

The Hustisford Falcons came up short against the Green Lake/Princeton Tigersharks on Saturday and fell 2-0.

Hustisford's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Layla Thimm, who had eight digs and six assists. Hailey Pieper was another key player, getting 11 digs and one assist.

Green Lake/Princeton can attribute much of their success to Kerrigan Stelter, who had five aces and three digs. Those three digs gave Stelter a new career-high.

Hustisford's loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Green Lake/Princeton, the victory snapped their losing streak at six matches and leaves them with a 3-17 record.

Hustisford wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Cambria-Friesland on the 11th. As for Green Lake/Princeton, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Williams Bay on the 11th.
