Volleyball Recap: Tishomingo County Takes a Loss

If Tishomingo County was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Nettleton last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Braves lost 3-0 to the Alcorn Central Bears on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Saturday.

Tishomingo County was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-23, 25-15.

Tishomingo County dropped their record down to 4-10 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Alcorn Central, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tishomingo County will host Thrasher at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Alcorn Central, they will be playing at home against Belmont at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Bears' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
