Baseball Recap: Franklinton Wins Going Away Against Sanderson

Franklinton won against East Wake last Friday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Franklinton Red Rams blew past the Sanderson Spartans 11-2. That looming 11-2 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Red Rams yet this season.

The team relied heavily on Conor Simpson, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hudson Deutsch, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

The win (which was Franklinton's third in a row) raised their record to 3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Sanderson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.
