Baseball Recap: Beech Extends Winning Streak to Four

Beech came tearing into Thursday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Gallatin Green Wave by a score of 7-4. Seven seems to be a good number for the Buccaneers as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Beech got a great performance from Watson Storey as he pitched 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits.

At the plate, Phoenix Thalassenos was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs. Kaden Peach was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

Beech pushed their record up to 21-15 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Gallatin, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-16.

As of now, neither Beech nor the Green Wave have any future games scheduled.
